The Rodney & Maureen Haines Memorial Cup

Highworth Town FC welcomed teams from Gloucestershire, Hampshire, Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Wiltshire who took part in the Rodney & Maureen Haines Memorial Cup yesterday.

Highworth's Fraser Haines explains, "The Memorial Cup was started by my brother and myself in my parents' memory. My parents were connected with Highworth Town Football Club for over 55 years."

"This is the seventh year we have run this tournament for boys at U9 level. The winners this year were Shrivenham & Watchfield who beat Lydiard Youth Hammers in the final by 2-1."
