Vipers defending well but could not hold Ward’s advance as he smashed through the centre to go over for Hinckley. Steele converted which brought the end of the first half.

Vipers up their game at the start of the second half attacking well and forcing a try line clearance. Hinckley making a couple of handling errors, if not for a forward pass Vipers would be on the score sheet. Hinckley made changes to the squad at this point which kept the balance of play in Hinckley’s favour with good ball out wide to Roberts saw the winger power down the sideline for a try in the corner. Baker short for the conversion. From the restart came an action replay from the same duo with a try in the corner from Roberts and short conversion attempt. Vipers not disheartened continued with good spirit and want for the game mounted several attacks but Hinckley defence proving good to deny them. A good kick up field by Hinckley dropped the ball over the try line Roberts managing to dive on it for Hinckley. Baker converting. Some good play by the Hinckley forwards at the final play of the game with Rowe powering over to seal the victory.
