Hinckley At Midlands Coaching Conference

12 first team squad members made the trip to Welbeck DSFC on Saturday morning to act as participants on the 2012 Midlands Coaching Conference.

The players, including some of the club's recent signings were coaching by Richard Blaze from Leicester Tigers, as he looked at the lineout, and Shaun Perry of Worcester Warriors and England who was looking at the mechanics of the scrum half pass. 1st XV coaches Vicky Macqueen and Chris Campbell were also in attendance watching on so that the work done in these sessions can be build on as pre-season continues.

The conference was attended by over 50 delegates from across the Midlands, but also including some who had travelled from overseas, and was a great opportunity for the players to gain some knowledge from those currently working at the top end of the game.

Also delivering on the conference were James Percival (Worcester), Nigel Redman (Worcester), Alan Biggs (RFU) and Graham Smith (England Women) who throughout the day offered some excellent insight which will be of benefit to Hinckley in the 2012/13 season.

For those who havent heard, the first pre-season fixture is away at Kettering Blues in less than a month, on Saturday 11th August, at 3pm
