Look After Your Sponsors
Next week's Mini Junior Dinner is a great way to secure sponsorship for next year.
As chairman of Hinckley Rugby Club and having been down here since the ark, it sometimes allows me to pass on experience that is beneficial for all. With the Mini Junior dinner upcoming, this seems to be an ideal opportunity to do so for those that are interested.
The value of having our fantastic age group section is immense for rugby in the area and allows the club to keep developing itself and give our community something to be proud of.
Finance oils the wheels of this success and with the current UK economy in a bit of a blip, securing sponsorship for next year will become harder and harder. Next week's Mini Junior dinner is a great opportunity to invite your age group's sponsor and ensure he/she has a day to remember.
Making sure your table is well attended is a good way of making the sponsor understand that their money is not only vital but also going to a well organised, committed age group.
The feel good factor is as important as exposure at this level and if your sponsor walks away "well oiled" and feeling the passion and desire of the age group then they will walk away very happy with the purse strings already loosened for next year's campaign!!
Just so some of you have some figures available to speak to sponsors about if you are that way inclined, I can tell you that since last August when the site went live, the site has had nearly had 47,000 visitors and over 350,000 page views which is no mean feat and something some commercial sites would be very happy with!! I hope over the course of the year we will be approaching 1 million page views which would be a fantastic achievement. Please note that you all have the ability to have your age group sponsor be the main sponsor for your age group pages within this site.
