As per recent festivals, our youngsters started very slowly conceding 3 soft tries early on as our usual combative defence appeared to have gone AWOL, except for the persistence of Collerson and Moore. Slowly but surely as the half drew to a close, Hinckley started to close the gap to be trailing 4-3 at half time. Tries by Collerson, Goodwin and Moore. The entire team change at second half, slowed down the home side scoring thanks to better all-round team defence. Notably Barnes, Burton, Carvell and Smith. But despite a brace of tries for Barnes and one for Smith, time ran out for Hinckley losing 7-6.
