Westhoughton Lions (A) - Sunday 15th April
Hindley make the short journey to BL5 on Sunday to take on the Lions.
After the Easter break, the lads regathered at training this past Thursday and put in some terrific work on the fitness drills designed by Nick to shake off the chocolate overload of last weekend! ;o)
It was again great to see the enthusiasm shown by everyone and the team are beginning to show increased determination and application whenever they turn up at the club, whether that be to train or play.
This weekend sees Hindley without the services of Harry McRoberts while the registration card for Ben Parry is still yet to arrive but I can assure everyone, Ben in particular, that Steve is doing his best to resolve the matter with the club and NWC.
Returning to the squad is Connor Aspey who missed the Orrell St James fixture due to a minor fracture (tough cookie or what?!)
The Lions hosted Folly Lane last time out and appear to have put in a good performance against them despite losing by a converted try.
It will be interesting to see the development of both teams since we recorded a 28-16 victory over this weekend's hosts at the Pavilion in March 2011 thanks to tries by Connor Alder (2), Connor Aspey (2), Reece Cassidy (2) and Josh Whittle.
Squad
Connor Aspey
Scott Aspey
Connor Bishop
Sam Bowery
David Bullough
Danny Carroll
Reece Cassidy
Connell Essex-Collier
Dan Goulbourne
Jak Kellet
Tom Peters
Joe Sumner
Josh Whittle
Owen Whittle
Andrew Wilkinson
