Reserves break their Saturday hoodoo
2 wins in a week get Brookies back on track
Match Report - Linby CW Reserves 1-4 Holbrook Sports Reserves - 16/09/17 - CML Div 1
Holbrook started strongly with Ben Wallace taking charge for his 2nd game as captain.
Jake Peverley went on a run down the left before whipping the ball into Isaac Raymond whose shot was saved by the Linby keeper but fell straight to Holbrook’s Allan Hahn who slotted home in the 9th Minute 0-1.
The goal composed the Brookies and before long they added a second. Ben Wallace at the edge of the 18-yard area, turned his man and calmly placed the ball into the bottom corner for his fourth of the season 0-2.
At this point, Holbrook appeared in control but Linby kept pushing forward. After 30 minutes a lofted through ball deceived the Holbrook defence allowing Linby’s Kieran Orange to reduced the deficit 1-2.
Sam Beardsley in the Brookies goal was called into action again from 1 on 1’s situations but he ensured he was quick off his line to keep Linby's forward line at bay.

Daniel Troop states
“We looked to control the whole game, 10 minutes lapse of concentration cost us the clean sheet but we seemed focused. Charlie Anthony impressed playing in his new right back position returning from injury. Sam Beardsley took his chance well and kept the score to just 1 home goal for Linby.
Moving forward we looked very dangerous just needed a little more composure and better decision-making to make us a top 3 side. We will build on today’s result and move forward. 2 wins in 2 to end the 4 match losing streak.
I Look forward to playing my old side Mickleover RBL next Saturday.”
