Entertaining Game Ends With Holland Win.

Brentwood Town came to the Bowl a good game expected, the crowd were not disappointed.

Both teams started brightly with defences looking slightly shaky, Holland had the First real chance when Bruce Poole was put through on goal, Bruce went around the keeper but failed to find the net, Brentwood then went straight up the other end and took there chance 0-1, More Brentwood pressure has Scott Wass out on the edge of his box saving from the dangerous Brentwood striker, good save, we got on level terms when Bruce Poole gets on the end of a decent diagonal pass from Aaron Keaney to fire home 1-1, but more or less straight away we got caught out from a long ball, despite another good Scott Wass save the rebound falls to the Brentwood striker to fire home 1-2, the frantic pace is kept up and Holland grab another equaliser through Steve Eaton who scores from point blank range, 2-2. Chances come and go at both ends then another sucker blow for Holland as we lose possession and Brentwood break, the midfielder plays the ball into the left channel for the striker to pass home 2-3.

Half Time.

The 2nd half is a different affair, Holland up their game and dominate the proceedings, chance after chance is created but not taken, the Brentwood keeper is playing well and pulling off some decent saves, Brentwood look to break but the Holland side had tighten up so the Brentwood threat was pretty much snuffed out at source! we get our 3 equalising goal after good work from Aaron Keaney who puts in a perfect cross for Dave Chapman to head home, 3-3, the Holland boys push forward and 2 goals in the final fifteen minutes put us into the next round, that man Aaron Keaney the creator of both goals, Dave Chapman again gets on the end of a Aaron Keaney cross, he out muscles his marker to fire home !! Wow, 4-3 ! then Steve Oldhamstead finally kills the game with a powerful diving header again from a Aaron Keaney cross 5-3, Job done.

A proper cup game with both teams going for the Win, the young Brentwood team deserve great credit, but Holland's know how see's them home led by Skipper Dave Chapman and the craft of Man of the Match Aaron Keaney. Well done to all, a home Tie with local rivals Cinque Port FC awaits.
