Battling draw for U12's
A fine second half performance saw the U12's recover a two goal deficit.
Whilst Tooting and Mitcham were the home team the match was actually played at Charles Darwin as they had no pitch.
Holmesdale were giving a debut to a new keeper and he was kept fairly busy by a lively Tooting side boasting a real life Ronaldo. The game was played in a very competitive fashion and at times threatened to boil over but the referee controlled the game well despite some poor comments from the watching crowd.
Tooting took the lead with a fine long range effort and doubled their advantage midway through the second half. Holmesdale created chances but were thwarted by a strong Tooting defence.
The second half saw a much improved display and we were back in the game when Jacks free kick found the net with Max making life difficult for the keeper.
Chances came and went and Harrision was getting the upper hand in the middle of the park and Daniel, Georgie and Ned were having a comfortable second half at the back. With 5 minutes remaining we were awarded a penalty that was dispatched by Jack and the scores were level.
A good game to watch and Tooting were good opponents.
