We have had a home draw against inform Corwen in the Welsh Cup round one to be played this Saturday kick off 2.30pm. Corwen head the Welsh National League (Wrexham Area) on goal difference from Brymbo with Brickfield Rangers 4 points behind with a game in hand. Corwen are obviously a strong attacking and defensive side having scored 33 goals in 8 matches and conceding only 4. We have played other clubs from this league in the past and been successful but Corwen seem to be a cut above the rest. Marc 'Logs' Evans came on as a substitute and made a great start for us last week and scored the equalizing goal but was ruled offside in added time when he had the ball again in the Buckley Town net. Mel, John and Marc will be a handful for any defence. First choice keeper Carl Jones will be back between the sticks for this one having to unavoidably miss last Saturday's match. I am sure Darren and Nick will prepare the lads well for this match and we look forward to a good match and progression in the Cup.
