Manager John Haseldin's report as we enter the halfway point of the season.

As we head into an unwanted Christmas break, I've been asked for some notes of the season so far. Obviously as you are all aware, I haven’t got too much to moan about and I am delighted with the season so far at the half way stage.

The new signings from the summer have all settled extremely well, both on and off the field and you would think they have been at the club for years. Mike Platt, under the watchful eye of ex Wrexham and Holywell goalkeeper Dave Walsh has been exceptional when called upon. Also worth a mention is Lee Emberton, who although we have lost recently to injury, at just 18 he is well ahead of his years and has got a massive future in the game, I personally can’t wait to see him back playing and at full fitness again.

The squad we have put together is full of quality, loyal local honest lads with no egos only determination to bring successful times back to the club. It is worth mentioning the dedication these lads put in every week, not just on a Saturday but training twice a week since June aswell. Lead by my very influential Sam Jones, the lads push each other and the hunger is there for all to see in their performances.

We have had some terrific team performances again in the Welsh Cup, beating 2 inform Cymru Alliance sides in Mold and Buckley Town, and also with them being derby games on top made the result even more satisfying and setting up the plum rematch with Aber at Halkyn Road in the New year which is obviously one to look forward too!

But the Lads know the targets we set them back in the summer and that the league is our priority, we have done well so far to be top at the halfway stage but that is only the job half done. We are renowned for putting a good run together after Christmas and I am expecting the same again in 2015.

Finally a quick mention to you the supporters, keep coming in your numbers and supporting us both home and away, it means a lot and doesn't go unnoticed and is appreciated by us all. We will hopefully repay your loyal support come the business end of the season. It was pleasing to win our last game of 2014 against Llanrug United, and with another important 3 points in the bag, we now aim to take our good form into the New Year.

I round off by wishing all supporters a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and I look forward to seeing you all again down Halkyn Road in 2015.
