Club Discipline

Rugby is a game of respect, no matter what happens on the field
Last season the Club Discipline Committee had to deal with several cases of abuse of match officials. This offence is treated very seriously by the Club and the Devon RFU and offenders can expect bans from playing and watching.
The Discipline Committee take their responsibility to protect the reputation of Honiton RFC and the game of rugby football very seriously and will use all the sanctions at their disposal to prevent such abuse. You should be aware that the sanctions for abuse by a player range from 6 to 18 weeks + with the provision to extend this tariff to 52 weeks.
If an official or spectator abuses a match official they will be charged by the RFU with conduct which is prejudicial to the interests of the game and can expect a lengthy ban from the touchline.
Please respect the match officials what ever you may thing of his decisions. It’s a difficult job at the best of times and remember without them there will be no rugby at all.
