I have recently taken up the position of Chairman at Hook Norton F.C. and I would like to take this opportunity to introduce Hook Norton F.C. to you.

Hook Norton F.C. was founded in 1898 as a works team for the Brymbo Ironstone Company.

In the early 1980’s due to the club’s new way of thinking, and a crop of home grown talent from the village the club’s fortunes changed, quickly progressing through the lower divisions of the Banbury & District league.

The club’s first Premier Division title came in 1984/85. Four more league titles followed, along with two county shield titles in the period up to 1996/97. The club took the decision the following season to move into Senior County football in the Oxfordshire Senior league. In its first season promotion was gained into the Premier Division where two League titles followed in 1999/2000 & 2000/2001.

Because of this success the club moved into Regional football playing in the Hellenic Football League. In its first season the title was secured and promotion to the Premier Division was gained. The club continued to play at this level until unfortunately being relegated in 2009/2010.

We are also very proud of our Junior section which was formed in 2001, and now offers football to children of the village & surrounding areas at age groups from mini’s up to Under 16 level, and now the recently formed Under 18’s (Youth) side which successfully won the Oxfordshire Youth League title last season.

The vision we had when forming our Junior section at the club was to offer firstly, the opportunity to be able to enjoy and play football, and secondly, that in time the system that was put in place would produce players for the long-term future and success of Hook Norton F.C.

This vision is now being realised by having several players that have come through our Junior section, and are now established members of our two senior teams, which leads us to believe that the future of Hook Norton F.C. looks very promising.

I would like to ask you to consider becoming involved with Hook Norton F.C. by way of sponsorship, and help us progress our club in the future.

I am fully aware of the difficult times businesses are facing at the moment, and because of this would be happy to discuss your proposals for sponsorship at whatever level, and also what we at Hook Norton F.C. may be able to offer you as a sponsor of our club.

I would also like to invite you to visit our facilities in Hook Norton, and perhaps meet to discuss any sponsorship options you may consider.

Finally, I would like to thank you for taking the time to read my letter, and look forward to speaking with you in the near future.

Yours sincerely

Mr Garnet Thomas

Chairman, Hook Norton Football Club
