To celebrate David Heckles stag do, we decided to host a Legends v Wannabes match. The Legends of yesterday played host to the youth of today in what promised to be a good contest of rugby.
The Legends held a training night for the last 3 Thursdays in preparation and to shift some cob webs.
The event was well advertised and with the weather keeping its part of the bargain, there was a big crowd done to watch.
There was even a light refreshments tent to keep the crowd well hydrated :))
As the Legends took to the field, watched closely by coach thirkel and bowman, they came to their final huddle before kick off.
As the game kick off, it proved to live up to the hype as the running lines and tackles of both teams were hard and fast. The contest over the 80 minutes were very well contested with great commitment from both teams. In the end, the wannabes managed to score in the last couple of minutes to claim the bragging righting running out 29-26 winners.

After the game, Paul Armstrong orcastrated the drinking games for the lads which went done well :)))

It's events like these that brings out the best in the club and the support to watch the game was second to none, the bar takings went extremely well and for that, a thanks must go to each and everyone who supported this.
