The first fixture to be played is at home to Alnwick on the 13th of August. Alnwick finished 3rd in North One East last season and will be a massive test. A very mobile pack and a established back line the coaching team are under no illusions that this will be a huge step up for some of the younger Horden players.

The second pre-season fixture is away to sunny Consett on the 20th of August. Very much like Alnwick, Consett are a fit mobile side with a quality back line that will pose real questions to the Horden side.

This is followed by a Durham County Senior cup fixture on the 27th of August. As of yet the draw has not been made, however we will face one of the following sides:

BLAYDON
DMP
SOUTH SHIELDS WESTOE
BILLINGHAM
WEST HARTLEPOOL
DURHAM CITY
CONSETT

Looking at those sides no easy games, continued effort in preseason is needed to be able to compete with these teams.

Numbers in pre-season have been great so far and a real buzz is going around the club. Lets keep this going.
