Farnham Town v Horley Town
Late goal secures a point
A first minute goal from Karl Parker
set us on our way nicely against an in form Farnham team but what followed wasn't what was hoped for.
The start and opening moments were all positive but when a needless penalty was conceded and converted on ten minutes the look of the game changed.
The hosts were visibly lifted and took the game to us and asked a number of questions in a fifteen minute spell that could have easily seen us go behind.
A Ryan Smith
free kick on Thirty minutes restored our lead but this was short lived as another error lead to Farnhams second equaliser.
At the beginning of the second half the recent energy expended in the FA Vase was taking its toll and the Hosts were sharper all round the pitch to the point where it was no surprise when they went in front with twenty to play .
In a last throw of the dice and with all three substitutes on a more direct approach towards the hosts goal started to pay dividends and thankfully Ryan Smith
scored his second of the game to bring us level as the game entered stoppage time.
Strangely a new found energy was there and for the final three minutes we had two further chances to steal a win but we had to settle for a point on what was a difficult day for us.
