Houghton travel to Yarm this Saturday for what will be the third encounter of the season. Houghton have won both previous games in a home league tie and an away cup fixture. However Yarm have made steady improvements recently beating the likes of Wallsend, Chester and Seghill. Houghton also find themselves coming into the game with form having been narrowly beaten away by Blyth. They have since regrouped and beat top of the league South Shields and some peoples favourite for promotion at the beginning of the season, Wallsend. Houghton are missing key personnel for the fixture with Eddie Gursksis, Newton Turton and Darren Witte all picking up injuries in the Wallsend game. However they see the welcome return of leading point scorer Dan Bearn and backrow forward |Liam Reay for the game. The game will hopefully live up to expectations with plenty of free flowing rugby on show.
