Notes on changing rules
Safeguards all members against being sued as individuals for the failing of the club as a whole. The RFU and Cheshire RFU are Industrial & Provident Societies (IPS), and a number of other rugby clubs. Like a company, an IPS has a legal personality of its own and enjoys the benefit of limited liability.
