Bulls vs Dockers

Hull Dockers U9s came out firing on Wednesday night in game 2 of their 2015 season with their opponents this time being Skirlaugh Bulls.
With an early mistake by Dockers, Skirlaugh had the first pressure on the line but solid defence saw a great effort in forcing the player in touch. With the following play the ball powerful running and good speed saw Stan Broadbent race up field for a 40m try. With The Bulls keeping pressure on and good ball work the cross the line to level the score 1-1.
Both team pressing hard and defending well it took good footwork strength and speed for Ryan Moses to run 25m handing off on the way to scoring his first of the night. Again bulls replied with a looping run out wide to cross over in the corner to level the scores 2-2.
With Dockers strong running and good ball skills a clever offload from Logan Penn saw Ryan Moses cross for his second of the night. Again Skirlaugh hit back with a try in the corner with good speed to loop the defence leaving the scores 3-3 at half time.
After the break early pressure from Dockers and good passing lead to Tyler Dunn crossing on the left to peak his team in front once again. With the Bulls never giving in they soon opened there second half account with fast speed down the Dockers right edge levelling the scores at 4-4.
Now with only 7 minutes left the play Dockers opened up the passing with 3 quick balls to see Jack Fox smash over the line to make it 5-4. The Bulls kept running strong at the defence but solid and hardworking tackling saw Dockers force the mistake. The following play Stan Broadbent made his 4th clear break of the night and lead Dockers to only 3 meters form the line. A quick pass form Ryan put Jack Rounding into the corner to make the score 6-4 and for the first time open up daylight between the teams.
With seconds left to play the enthusiasm of the full team was up with great tackling and commitment to keep the bulls out.
