Headline News
Hull Ionians have announced that they have secured the services of Head coach, Alex Crockett, for a further two years.
DoR, Sean Carty, said he was delighted to secure Alex for the 2015 - 2016 and 2016 - 2017 seasons which will allow the club to develop on the progress made so far this season and will give continuity and stability during the re-organisation of the national leagues.

Ahead of this news your intrepid reporter decided to take an inside look at a training session. Unfortunately, on this occasion, the session started with a team meeting and video analysis. What a revelation! I never realised there was so much planning, organisation and structure to the game. In all the 30 years of playing I never put this amount of thinking into the game. Sadly I also realised there was no place in the modern game for a player with my flair. I was unable to take part in the outside activity because of pressing matters behind the bar.

Club News

The downstairs bar has gone all continental with the installation of a coffee machine. This has created a vacancy for another drinks maker because it seems some Barista has already burned the element out.

Caring Chairman Pat

Normally seen as firm and uncompromising, Chairman Pat showed his gentle, sensitive side this week when the farm cat went lame. A visit to the vet and an x-ray showed a dislocated hip. An operation and great expense later the cat is recovering on best fillet steak. Yep, definitely soft.

DJ Pat Thong has indicated there will be an increase in his fees. Spiraling costs have forced the issue but Mr Thong expected the increase to be in line with inflation.
