Another fine achievement by the young lads in the junior section; tucked away on the U15 page was this little gem -
"Given our lack of rugby,of late, and therefore Reviews, there hasn't been an opportunity to congratulate two of our squad on their selection for representative squads. Ben Carlile has followed up his Yorkshire U16 honours with selection for the North U16 squad. In addition Robson Jones was successful in being called up for the Yorkshire U15 squad.

A great achievement by both players, and we wish them both well in the coming months. It should also act as real encouragement to the others that they join Ben and Robson when the next opportunity to impress selectors comes along.
Well done!

Tour News

The Ramblers have announced the (admittedly sketchy) details for this years tour.
The date is the week-end of the 17th (which makes it April) to Northampton. There will be two games and much merry making.
To date, only twenty four hours after details were released, 21 players/officials/hardened drinkers have made themselves available. Everyone is invited, but as Ramblers organiser, Andy Sigsworth rightly observed, " It's not for faint hearted, as every year it gets madder"
36 stalwarts went last year and most returned. An event not to be missed.

Fine Dining

The East Riding branch of the Wooden Spoon society are to hold an afternoon lunch at the club on the 20th of February.
Rugby legend, Bill Beaumont, will be the main guest so all those attending are assured of a top class event. For further details contact Roger Gosling - gosling.roger@hotmail.com

With local rugby at a standstill (a blank week for league fixtures) this coming week-end Ionians are offering local rugby players the opportunity to come along and watch the top of the table clash against Ampthill at Brantingham Park for a fiver!
YES, ONLY £5 STERLING.
Any player can get in for £5 as long as they can convince Dan and Fred they are still pulling on their boots.
A sweaty jock strap may suffice as evidence but please ensure it is in a sealed plastic bag, for health and safety reasons.
Hope to see you there.
