On a bitterly cold morning Kieran Moran
took a short ball off Will Jubb
to set the scoring off early in the piece with Jordan Davies adding the conversion.
Five minutes later Connor Bower was over after some neat work from the team and Davies duly converted, to bring the score to 12-0.
Wyke were dominating proceedings and this was emphasised with a barnstorming run and try from one of the best on show Danny(pictured)Banks. Jordan Davies converted to give Wyke an 18-0 lead at half time.
The second half continued in much the same vain with Moran barging over from good lead up work by Ben Atkin
, Connor Sleight, Dylan Osbourne and the final pass of Will Jubb
. Jordan Davies was on hand to claim the extras.
It was now the turn of Moran to turn provider setting up his compadre Will Jubb
with neat inter play between the two. Davies bagged the extras and the game was now very much out of reach of the Panthers side.
More good team work and wise substitutions brought further reward when Liam Harris
brought the kick back up field, Adam Carr continued it Jordan Davies pushed it up Trevor Olutch broke and fed Moran who once again interplayed for a lovely second try to Will Jubb
. Jordan Davies slotted over the extra for a lead of 36-0.
The time on the clock was running down and Wyke temporarily switched off to let the Panthers in for two sloppy tries. Nevertheless, the last word was had by Ellis Clark
when he caught a beautiful delicate kick from Connor Bower to complete the try scoring and Jordan Davies banged over the conversion from the touch line and the game ended at 42-8 to Wyke.
