Please read the following statement from the RFL.

Hull Wyke are committed to working with our governing body in all matters regarding safeguarding and welfare and our coaches are required to do training courses as per RFL guidelines on coaching licences.

If any members of our club have any concerns or questions, please contact our Club Welfare Officer, Clare Beaumont on 07794 463070 in confidence.

The RFL is committed to safeguarding the welfare of children in the sport of Rugby League. Over the last decade we have worked closely with the Child Protection In Sport Unit (CPSU) and NSPCC to develop robust policy and procedures to safeguard children, achieving the NSPCC & CPSU's National Advanced Standards for safeguarding and protecting children in sport in 2008. We work closely with all our clubs and statutory agencies to ensure that safeguarding children is prioritised. Any allegation, suspicion of harm or concern is taken seriously and responded to swiftly, fairly and appropriately.

Given the serious information that continues to come to light regarding allegations of abuse in other sports we would ask anyone who has any concerns, historical or current, about abuse in Rugby League to report those concerns in confidence either to the RFL Safeguarding Manager Colette Eden at safeguarding@rfl.uk.com or on 0113 237 5046 or alternatively to contact the NSPCC’s general Helpline for adults 0808 8005000 and Childline for children and young people 08001111
