It was a great performance by the U18s on Rememberance Sunday as they put 8 goals past Stratton Youth.

The U18s produced some great football from the off causing Stratton Youth problems as they pushed forward with some quick passing and movememnt. It took nearly 20 minutes for the first goal however when Damian Lybech-Harris inswinging corner beat everyone and ended up in the net. Soon after a Hungerford side now rising in confidence levels scored the second when Keenan Dundas and Johnny Haist combined to find Ryan Dent free on the left to power home.

The third goal was a great folowing move starting from the back and through to the strikers who this time found Simon Carter bursting through the middle to strike home a goal from a combination of a dozen passes.

Joe Looker was using his pace to find space on the right and he scored the next goal again after unselfish work from Keenan Dudas and Johnny Haist. Just before half time Johnny Haist himself scored the 5th taking the ball around the keeper for a cool finish.

Hungerford U18s started the second half slowly and Joe Choles had to produce a couple of saves but soon Hungerford found thier goal scoring boot again this time Simon Carter put Keenan Dundas through on goal and he scored with ease.

Hungerford pressed on and were guilty of missing a few great chances Keenan Dundas in particular not in his usual ruthless mood. during the last quarter Johnny Haist made it 7 - 0 finishing of a Damian Lybech-Harris pass and subsititute Josh Metcalf made it 8 - 0 a couple of minutes after coming on with a powerful drive.

A bizarre last 10 minutes saw Stratton score three goals to their credit not giving in despite the scoreline as Hungerford took their foot off the gas. Johnny Haist looked to have been fouled before the second Stratton goal looked and of course the U18s had to conceed the now routine controversial penalty.

All in all a fine result and performance worthy of the occasion
