Sidley-Adams played for Taunton at the start of last season but quickly lost his place to Chris Astley, who later joined Mangotsfield United, and ended up playing for Minehead.
Taunton are also waiting for international clearance on defender TJ Lang, who played in Spain last season.
Taunton boss Leigh Robinson used twenty players in the 2-1 home win over Stoke Gabriel in a friendly at Wordsworth Drive on Saturday.
He and his new assistant Martyn Rogers have the task of reducing this number before Saturday's opening league game away to Winchester City.
