Goalkeeper Ashley Morris has spurned the chance of a return to Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South & West club Merthyr Town, and will play Welsh Premier League football in the new season.
Morris, 27, made two pre-season appearances for the Martyrs, but has now signed for Welsh Premier club Bala Town.
Former Llanelli keeper Morris (pictured) is from Tredegar, and came through the Merthyr academy and became their first-choice keeper.
He moved to Llanelli and made 93 appearances, but left at the end of last season and had trials with Newport County and Merthyr Town.
Meanwhile, Joe Perry has left the Martyrs to sign for Newport County.
