Manager Tom Killick is tipping returning stars Dave Sturgess and Lamin Dibba to provide a major boost to Poole Town’s Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South & West promotion prospects.
The fit-again duo are set to feature prominently in Dolphins’ title tilt next season.
A mainstay of the club’s run to the FA Vase semi-finals in 2011, Sturgess missed all of last season after suffering a serious knee ligament injury.
Centre-half Dibba (pictured) was restricted to just six appearances on Poole’s return to the Southern League because of a knee problem.
Killick revealed the key men were set to make their comebacks during Dolphins’ pre-season campaign next month.
He is confident they will quickly re-establish themselves in Poole’s team – meaning he does not have to rush his search for new recruits.
Killick told the Daily Echo: “It is going to be tremendous to have those two back.
“That is another reason why when we look at it numerically, we have lost two or three players but we have already gained two new ones, if you like.”
