Milnes started in last night's 2-1 friendly defeat to a Leeds United XI at Steel Park and has now been confirmed as the latest addition to boss Tommy Wright's squad ahead of the new Southern League Premier Division campaign.

The midfielder started his career at Leicester City before moving to The Pilgrims in 2011, and spent three seasons with the Conference North club.

But he has now followed Spencer Weir-Daley in switching to The Steelmen, much to the delight of Wright.

The Steelmen chief commented: "I am extremely pleased to get this deal over the line and announce that Ben Milnes is a Corby Town player.

"Ben is an extremely skilful player and one of the most technically gifted midfielders that you will see at this level.
