Bideford remain fourteen points clear at the top of the Evo-Stik League Southern Division One South & West table, despite being held to a goalless home draw by Paulton Rovers on Saturday.

The hosts went closest to breaking the deadlock in the first half with Connor Clifford, on his home debut, flashing a volley just wide and Aaron Harper-Penman having a header cleared off the line.

Sean Joyce's team can guarantee the title over the Easter weekend if they win at Gosport Borough on the Saturday and at home to Taunton Town on Monday.

Thatcham Town held second-placed Sholing, and in doing so earned a thirteenth draw in thirty-five games.

Thatcham established an early two-goal lead with James Clark scoring both - the second one from the penalty spot. However, Sholing fought back to level the scores by half-time through Marvin McLean and Nick Watts.

Hungerford Town went down 2-1 at home to Gosport Borough who leap-frogged their hosts into third place.

Brett Poate gave Boro a 41st minute lead that Matt Goodger cancelled out almost immediately – Dave Wooden winning it for the visitors 18 minutes from time.

Fifth-placed Poole Town, behind to an Ed Vahid effort after 14 minutes, took a home point from a 1-1 draw with Yate Town when they scored 4 minutes after the interval through veteran Taffy Richardson.

North Leigh went behind to third-bottom Wimborne Town 4 minutes after the break to a Jamie Davidson goal, but equalised in the 56th minute through Tom Franklin and won it in the 2nd minute of time added on from John Mills.

Tiverton Town scored twice in the first half through Michael Nardiello and Jules Emati-Emati to complete a 2-0 victory at Didcot Town, while Cinderford Town scored a goal in each half from Kris Miller and Chris Lewis to record a 2-0 home win over Taunton Town.

Halesowen Town scored just before the midway point of the first half through debutant Craig Reid to win 1-0 at Bridgwater Town, and Mangotsfield United were held to a goalless draw at Cossham Street by Bishops Cleeve.

Bottom of the table Stourport Swifts kept alive their slim hopes of avoiding relegation when they completed a 4-3 home win over their nearest rivals Abingdon United.
