Southern League Premier Division club Weymouth have snapped up two of their trialists in the form of Jamie West and Jordan Copp on non-contract terms, following their 3-0 victory over Dorset Premier League side Portland United at Grove Corner.

Full-back West and utility man Copp become the Terras' second and third signings in a week after the acquisition of centre-half Ed Palmer on Saturday.

Boss Jason Matthews said: "We are very close to having a seventeen-man squad now which is what we set out to do, and I am very pleased with how things are going.

"Jordan has come in and done extremely well, he is very mobile, can play in two or three positions and gives us cover at left-back, left wing and in the centre of midfield so we are very pleased to have him.

"Jamie has a big future in the game, on what he has shown in pre-season he has proved that he is worth a deal and we are happy to get both of them on board."
