Crocks win Annual match.

Crocks win a very good Old Crocks match 22-17.

This year the game went ahead on grass, after the two previous games were played in deep snow.

In a very competitive game the Crocks took a 17-0 lead at half time with 3 tries from skipper Ian "Frankie" Francis, John "Hippy" Grant (converted by Philip Parkin) and another from Frankie.

The youngster reduced the lead with two tries of their own from Neil Cran & William McPhee (jnr), Crans try was converted by McPhee.

With the gap down to one score both teams knew that the next score was important and it was the Crocks who crossed the line after a spell of pressure with Gordon "Smurf" Smith getting the try.

However the youngsters struck straight back, catching the Crocks napping with a switch of kick at the restart, resulting in good ground being made wide left. The ball was moved to the right and young Douglas McCallum doing really well to show & go for the line.

22-17 as the whistle for no-side.

The Ian "Pog" Minty Memorial Quaich was awarded to George Murray after the game by young Morgan Minty.
