Thank you

Hello all

Huntly RFC Festival has come and gone once again. What a fantastic day of rugby. I hope you all enjoyed the day as much as we as club officials did.

It is only through the hard work of our volunteers that we manage to make it all happen. A huge, huge thank you to everyone who turned up early this morning to help set up in the rain. James was at the park at 7.30am this morning setting out the pitches. Volunteers started to turn up not long after to help set up the tents and make up the lunch boxes which gave us a great start to the day.

Thank you to James for the fixtures and the background work that goes on that no one sees.
Thank you to Mandy for organising the volunteers who were there just at the right time and a massive help throughout the day.
Thank you to everyone who supplied home bakes and fancy pieces which were complimented many times over today by visiting clubs. We have some very talented bakers it has to be said.
Thank you to everyone who helped in the tea tent and to get the lunches out smoothly. Thank you to everyone who manned the 100 squares boards.
Thank you to everyone who refereed.
Thank you to all the ladies that covered the first aid for the day. A few injuries which were dealt with and everyone ok.
Thank you to all of our coaches and coaching assistants.
Thank you to Uncle Bob's Catering for all the burgers etc that were being enjoyed by the masses.
Thank you to everyone who stayed back and helped tidy up.
And finally thank you to all the players and their families for turning up and making it such a successful day.

It was great to see the S1+ members of the club (and their families) helping out today with the micros and with refereeing. Very much appreciated and what the club is about. Brings a real family feel to it all.

And while all this was going on, our Under 13/14 team were at Moray playing as part of Muntly and had a brilliant win against Caithness. Well done boys.

Thank you to everyone and enjoy the holidays. See you all back on the 29th October.

Regards

Jane McKenzie
