League
| Ibis Utd FC | 1 | vs | 1 | Kendal County FC |
Points shared in local derby
Honours were even as Ibis and Kendal County played out an entertaining 1-1 draw at the Jubilee. Both teams were just about at full strength and it was the home team that took the early initative with both Josh Phizacklea and Josh Ford going close and it was no surprise when Ibis took the lead through a clever Josh Ford chip.
Ibis held the lead going into the break but it was County who came back more and more into the game in the second half as the home side tired and deservedly equalised through a Jez Walsh penalty after 65 minutes following a trip in the penalty area.
The last 20 minutes or so were played at a frenetic pace with neither side really gaining the upper hand, although it was the home keeper who was the busier of the two.
A valuable point each with the return match set for early April in what promises to be an intriguing contest.
