MANAGERS’ MEETING HELD AT IBIS SPORTS & SOCIAL CLUB, KENDAL TUESDAY 13th DECEMBER, 2011

Minutes of the previous meeting were proposed by Mark Cleasby, seconded by Peter Leonard and agreed and signed as a true record by the Chairman.


Matters Arising


Charter Standard - Committee is happy to remain as separate entity at the moment.


Chairman’s Report


Meeting re changing rooms report - happy to go ahead with 6 changing rooms, showers etc., cost estimated at £350,000.

Further meeting in January to formulate plans re fund raising. If explored all avenues, we can get funding from football foundation. Also, possibly long term lease that the 3 clubs (Kendal Celtic, IBIS Senior & IBIS Juniors) could enter into as private property i.e. could ban dogs from Jubilee.

Bill has someone interested in taking over U7’s with Sean Moore, has experience.

Took U9’s to Kirkby Stephen. Before meeting Bill asked for volunteers to take over. Many thanks to Bill for going!

Bill, Peter & Alan went to FA hearing re Dallam Tower appeal. Felt the meeting was pointless & over aggressive - same four people on the committee as on appeals committee. Very disappointed, feel deflated and can’t do any more. Seems strange no further appeal.

Secretary’s Report


Pitches:
U11-U13 - Millenium
U14-U16 - Top pitch jubilee
U17-U18 - Pitch by hedge

We need parents’ involvement - if no involvement do not enter team.
Level 1 we pay 2/thirds, and Kent Valley 1/third for coaching courses.
Respect barriers - please ensure these are put up prior to each game.


Treasurer’s Report

Subs - most teams ok, still some outstanding:
U18’s, U16’s, U16’s girls


Kent Valley League Representative’s Report

U7’s to be re-registered, fine waived.
U9’s 2 x team sheets not sent - fined £50.00.
U11’s - missing team sheets.

Child Welfare Officer’s Report

Still need CRB forms back - see October minutes.

Any Other Business

Dog fouling, signs done - need putting up. To be raised at January meeting.

Alvin has the ladder - will go to lock-up.
Water Board pitches - information to follow.
4 nets have been bought for U10’s to be attached.
4 flags bought & in lock-up.
Charity bags to be brought to next meeting.

Sportsman’s dinner set for 3rd February, 2012, tickets from Peter Leonard & Alan Nelson.

Paul - permit for the tip still to be sorted in order to empty lock-up.

If NOT training, please ring up and cancel - it costs!

Don - any vacancies in QKS? Parents struggling for 5.30pm at Kirkby Kendal Tuesdays.

Bryan - grass cut on Millenium. Problems with rugby training on Millenium - they have been told.

Please tidy changing rooms.

Hedge still needs cutting. Mark to tell Bill to sort.
