The Community

The club has forged strong links with the wider community, in particular with both the education sector and with the local borough council sport and physical activity development team.

The club coaches regularly undertake outreach programmes in local junior and secondary schools.

The Stute is also used by local schools for rugby, junior tennis, bowls and cricket coaching sessions and, during the summer school holiday, week long rugby schools are delivered for children and young people aged 9 to 13.

In addition, The Stute site is also home to
two valuable educational projects:

- The Special Individual Programme (SIPS)

- Cycling for Life.

SIPS is part of the Nottinghamshire Behavioural Support Services and deals with
young people, aged 11 to 16, who have been
excluded from mainstream schools.

Cycling for Life takes disaffected children
from local secondary schools and coaches them to a competitive level.
