Collections and Club Donation contribute £200 to Jacko's Fundraising!

Ilkeston Rugby Head Coach David Jackson recently cycled from Leeds to Nottingham on behalf of Headway the brain injury association that promotes understanding of all aspects of brain injury and to provide information, support and services to people with a brain injury, their families and carers. (Visit www.headway.org.uk for more information).

Jacko spoke eloquently to attendees of the lunch event held before the recent home game against Mansfield about his recent enforced playing retirement due to "one concussion too many" and how much he valued the support that he has received from Headway...his cycle ride to raise funds was his way of re-paying the support.

Donations came flooding in from those in attendance and the club topped the amount up to eventually be able to donate £200 to Jacko's fund.

Once aware of everyone's generosity Jacko commented "That is awesome, thank you to everyone at the club for the support, Ilkeston RFC is a special place that's for sure."

Anyone wishing to top up Jacko's "pot" by donating to the charity can do so by following this link to his Just Giving page
