NATWEST RUGBYFORCE WEEKEND - VOLUNTEERS NEEDED.
The Club has won a grant to refurbish the old white clubhouse down at The Gallows on Saturday 21st & Sunday 22nd June.
The condition of the grant is that we do the work ourselves!
The RFU and Mayoress will pay us a visit!
The plan is to get to The Gallows at 11:00am (after Eng v NZ on Saturday of course) and work through to 3pm.
Free Beers and BBQ to all volunteers afterwards, on both days!
Work to include...
1. Clear the building internally of all remaining rubbish, etc. sweep it clean, wash the communal areas and store any kit securely,
2. Open all shutters and windows to give the building a good airing and board up any broken windows to make it secure.
3. Give it a lick of paint internally
4. Externally, clear the site of all overgrown vegetation both around the building, in the car park and along the fence line.
5. Clear and sweep the car park ready for remarking.
6. Patch up some of the damaged rendering on the external walls and whitewash/paint the whole exterior of the building.
7. Repair the roof
We will aim to supply all materials and equipment but please bring what you think might be good for the above such as sweeping brushes, bags, gloves and any tools . You can always leave them in your car if not needed.
