Illingworth under 8’s played their first ever competitive match on Sunday against a well drilled Moldgreen side. Despite the result the players never gave in and all eight of them showed real heart and determination and ended up with smiles on their faces. As a coach I couldn’t be more proud of them all, as were all the spectators on the touchline. We‘ve said from day one that win, lose or draw just play with enthusiasm and belief and enjoy your rugby league, the results will come over time, work hard on the training field, listen to your coaches and enjoy yourselves playing the greatest sport of all.
