under 8's curtain raiser at leigh sports village........

The under 8's team was invited down to leigh sports village today to play against Leigh Miners as a curtain raiser before the big game kicked off between Leigh Centurions and Swinton Lions and What an experience it was for all the team being in the big stadium. All parents had to sit on the stands whilst all the team were in the changing rooms and then all the team came running out of the big archway on to the pitch with all the crowd cheering and Leigh centurions were warming up on the other side of the pitch, the atmosphere was amazing. it really was a once in a lifetime experience for the team and the childrens faces said it all, the smiles on their faces were priceless.

The game itself didnt last too long as both teams had to be off the pitch for 11.30 for the big game between the centurions and the lions. It was a good game, both teams trying really hard for the win because of the environment we was in and the amount of people that were watching. 10-15 mins later, a few dodgy decisions by the ref ;) and excellent tackling skills by the Rose bridge team, they came off with a win of 3-2 to bridge. WELL DONE ALL UNDER 8'S on another win :)

Man of the Match- Kyle Malone
Top Tackler- Reagan Hunter
Most Improved- Boyd Wilson
