Douglas Cruickshank

Founder member of club passes away.

We are sadened to hear of the news that Douglas Cruickshank the founder of Inverness Craig Dunain RFC passed away on Monday the 31st of October
in Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy after a short illness.

Douglas was a Nurse Manager within Craig Dunain Psychiatric hospital and founded the club in 1978. The team was named after the hospital and he drew the majority of his players from the staff. He was very proud of his involvment with the team especially while it was in its infancy. His great love of the game was always present from his early days playing for Haddington to latter involvement with Kinross RFC.

Everyone associated with Inverness Craig Dunain RFC would like to extend their sincerest condolences to his family.

His funeral is on Wednesday, 9th November at 10.15 am in Kirkcaldy Crematorium, all friends invited.
