Locos co-boss Kenny Coull has welcomed his former team mate back to the club and on Wednesday night stated there is no time to waste as he looks to get his new signing and the whole squad up to speed:
“We need to get him playing to the way we want it is only a few weeks until we play our Ramsdens Challenge Cup game at Montrose. Stuart is a major signing, it’s up to him to prove what a big signing he is. What we want is to move on from our 4th position to Top 3 and ultimately to win the League
The Challenge Cup game is competitive football, and what we are aiming towards, never mind the Nairn game. We want to give a good account of ourselves”
Coull also confirmed tonight that after nine years’ distinguished service to the club, long term captain Tommy Wilson will be leaving the club. Wilson celebrated a Testimonial season with he highlight being a Challenge match against Aberdeen FC. However the 35 year old went through an injury hit campaign finding it very difficult to retain a regular place in the team when fully fit
Full back Keith Thomson has also left the club
