I know it's not much like cricket weather, but....

INDOOR TRAINING 2014

It may not seem 5 months ago that last season finished, but pre-season training will commence this year on Sunday 23rd February. The sessions will run from 11:00 to 12:30 at Coombeshead College, and will run for 6 consecutive weeks until 30th March. Cost will be £3 per person per week.

The Club are looking to push on this season, and to try and improve the playing standard of all League teams. Coupled with the increasing number of players available for senior cricket this season, we are trying to make sure everyone benefits from pre-season training.

In order to make the most productive use of our indoor practice time, we would like to try to structure sessions properly, based on knowing exactly who is or isn't coming to each session.

With 40+ players potentially turning up each week, this should mean that we don't waste time working out who does what during the session and also help us work towards our goal of bringing more of "a plan" to all senior teams this season.

Please can we ask you to 'book' the training sessions you are planning on attending in advance by contacting Keith or Chris, and no later than 1 week before the first session.

Also to help the sessions run smoothly, we will assume that all players that book to attend training will be there on time for the start of the session and staying until the end (unless you indicate otherwise when you book). Net slots will be allocated and if you aren't there throughout then you might miss your slot or you may impact on someone else's ability to train (i.e. you might be put down in partners for catching drills).

We hope all players will understand that having this element of structure will help everyone to get the most benefit possible out of training and also ensure we have the correct resources available at each session.
Regards
The Skippers
