Ipplepen CC are seeking a parent or other interested individual to act as a co-ordinator for cricket activities involving our younger players

Due to continued growth in our youngest age groups, Ipplepen CC are looking for a new volunteer to lead the Junior Softball section of the club in 2018 and possibly beyond.

Ipplepen CC has always been at the forefront of new initiatives to bring younger players into cricket and membership of our 'Mini Hitters' section has increased year after year. In addition, Ipplepen have been the largest single participators in the South Devon Youth Cricket League's kwik cricket festivals running up to 4 teams at a time.

In order to continue developing opportunities for our youngest players and to manage this specific sector of the club, Ipplepen CC are now seeking a volunteer co-ordinator specifically to oversee junior softball activities.

This is mainly an administrative or 'off pitch' role rather than a coaching or 'on pitch' role. Anyone interested does not need a cricket playing or coaching background, but should be a good communicator and organiser who can liaise with parents, coaches and other stakeholders.

Time commitment would be predominantly limited to the cricket playing season (April to September) and would need just a small number of hours per week to organise weekly coaching sessions and to sort out teams for the monthly softball festivals.

The successful applicant will need to complete a DBS check through the club and provide a personal reference. Emergency Aid and Safeguarding training will be provided if needed.

If anyone is interested in taking on this important role please contact Chris Partridge on 07887 513 800.
