Wanderers sign new goalkeeper

Wanderers are pleased to announce the arrival of experienced goalkeeper Gary Rose to the club.

Rose has plenty of Ridgeons League experience, having previously played for Whitton United, Woodbridge Town and Felixstowe & Walton United at this level.

Ipswich Wanderers manager, Glenn Read, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Gary to the Doucy. We’re trying to bring in experienced players to improve the team, with Gary’s being another signing that I’m sure will bring a big boost to our squad.”

Wanderers have improved significantly in recent weeks since Read’s arrival and the team are on a three match winning streak following this weekend’s superb 6-2 demolition of Downham Town, which Rose was an unused substitute in.

Read added: “It’s been encouraging to see how we’ve picked up more points lately and we’ve had some good results during that spell, so I’m hoping we can continue making steady progress and carry on moving slowly up the table.”

Wanderers are next in action next Saturday, when league leaders Godmanchester Rovers visit the Doucy (3pm k.o).
