50th Anniversary Celebrations
50th Anniversary Year Celebrations
The club committee have decided that the first event, of the year long celebrations, will be the Annual Sportsman’s Dinner.
This will be held in the Volunteer Rooms on Friday 1st June 2012.
Speakers are John McKelvie and Bill Copeland.
Tickets priced £30 each and £300 per table can be ordered from Gary Auld at 01294 313644.
The next event is to be held on Saturday 11th August when 2 rugby matches will be held. The first will be for past players {Legends} playing an Ayrshire Legends team, followed by another game for the current rugby squad against a team still to be finalised.
If you are a former player and wish to take part on the day contact the club or any of the committee. Further details will follow when available.
To make sure our youngsters are involved in the 50th anniversary
events, the club intends to hold a youth tournament on Sunday 19th
August.
Format, teams and details will be advised closer to event.
The last event this year will be a Gala Lunch to be held in the Sports Club on Saturday 3rd November. This is to coincide with the time Irvine Rugby Club started playing competitive rugby.
It is our intention to invite all founder members, honorary members, past presidents and past captains to this event.

The ladies of Irvine Rugby Club want to be involved and a Gala Ball has been suggested. This will probably be held in the Volunteer Rooms in the Spring of 2013. Watch club site for further details.
