After a defeat at the hands of Garnock today, the boys are on a bit of a downer. They fought their hardest but were outplayed which is no reflection on their hard work, but on the coaching they are currently recieving.

I am a forward player and as such I can only really focus on forwards moves, which is how we structure our game in the absence of any backs input.

We are slowly losing players due to the continued defeats and the guys really need the help of the senior players within Irvine Rugby Club.

These boys turn out in the rain on a Saturday to keep us in water, kicking tees and retrieving balls, and deserve more than I can offer alone.

So i am asking one more time for you guys who I stand beside on a Saturday to give a bit to the kids and turn out and give my boys the benefit of your experience.

The boys have a fixture to Carrick on Sunday coming, one week break then five fixtures in a row and desperately need some input. To be perfectly honest i'm not prepared to take the boys to the fixtures over the next seven weeks and watch them be as dissapointed as today, therefore if there is no support I will ask peggy to cancel the fixtures and we may have to look at how we move forward with the boys this would be a sad inditement of the support for the youth section.

Please think on, this may be your son, daughter, nephew, neice or even a neighbour who may want to be coached in the future, they deserve the best as you would expect for your child, even if this is in the future.

Get down, show the future of the club that you support them, the sucesses that IRFC are currently finding can only continue long term as long as we provide a steady stream of players in the years to come.
