Sunday arrived after the boys had spent the night preparing via the medium of late night Karaoke – so a sleepy group of lads arrived at the beautiful Oakmedians’ ground in Bournemouth for a festival of three games against Oakmedians, Dorchester and Ringwood. The first was won convincingly, 20-0. The second game was much tighter with a 5-5 draw after Ivy uncharacteristically let through a solo runner to even the scores. A 15-0 victory in the final game gave Ivybridge the runners’ up prize, only losing on points difference, whilst receiving the trophy for fair play. In the weekend’s five games the squad had only let one Try through, an impressive record!
