1XV INTO PLAY OFF

Should this be called Super Saturday at IRFC, I think so!

For the first time this season we have manager to put out 4 senior teams on a Saturday and what a day it turned into.

The Colts started it with an early kick off away at Torquay, winning 22 - 33 showing they are coming back to form, even if it is to late for the Devon Cup now, what character they have shown after the disappointment in the National Plate.

1XV beat promoted League leaders Cleve 27 - 15 in an exciting game for the spectators and brutal for the players. Fast and furious, a lot of sore bodies I am sure. This sees them safely through to the play off position, away to Towcestrians (East Midlands) on 25th April.
A huge well done to Tommo, Paul, Lewis, Gareth and all the players.

The Vandals travelled away to Tiverton and came away with a 12 - 26 win.

3XV made the short trip to Tamar Saracens to play the semi-final of the Ellis Cup. What a game it turned out to be, playing a Tamar side that naturally had to include some of their 1XV to make up the numbers. Ending 18 - 18 saw the Ivybridge side go through to the final on the away team rule, in my book that's the 4th win!!

A great day for the club.

This Wednesday night the Vandals have their final Merit Table game at home to Devonport Services, 7.30 pm kick off.
