Convincing win over strong cornish side.
The visit of the Cornish boys presented no problem to a confident Ivybridge side. Buoyant on recent success they are playing with a fluidity and poise hat belies their tender years. Their smaller pack dominated Liskeard and as a result the movement and pace consistently made Liskeard look mediocre. Adam Northcott's strength and speed was utilised to full capacity and earned him three tries. Nathan Davies bagged a brace and earned him man of the match. One of Nathan's tries being the best of the season so far. The ball being won back in the seedy world of the pack and fed out by George Rogers to Dan Skeemer. Skeemer sped along the wing eluding two tackles and fine support play enabled the ball to be passed to Will Lamont before the tackle. Lamont's vision and superb soft hands popped the ball out to Davies who at full tilt took the ball and was unstoppable. It was 28-0 at half time and the change round did not alter the performance. Liskeard coaches admiring some excellent play and commenting on Ivy's fine flowing style of rugby. It is the esprite de corp that is ebullient within this team that could see them move on to do well in the harder tests to come. MOM. Nathan Davies/Elliot McCreery.
