This was some turnaround from the first game against Watsons when Jed lost by over 70 points. On a superb sunny day for running rugby Jed started the match in the visitors half but were unable to cross the line due to the stout defence. It was Watsonians that scored the first points when Kerr kicked a penalty after 22 minutes which was quickly followed by a try from Number 8 Scott on 27 minutes, Jed continued to pressurise Watsons line with forwards carrying ball to their opposition at every opportunity. Kerr was having a good day with the boot converting another penalty then Scott scored another try again converted after 37 minutes. Jed had the final say in the first half when David Gobby made a break down the wee stand side to give an inside pass to Gregor Young to score in the corner, Chegs missed the conversion from out wide. half time score Jed 5 Watsonians 20.

Greig Laidlaw and our coaches went into the changing rooms with the team which then came out in the second half with all guns blazing. however it was the visitors kicker Kerr converting a penalty after only 2 minutes that scored first, this started a purple patch for the home side first Gillon scorched down his wing to score in the corner then Gregor Young scored his second try only one of these were converted by Chisholm. The home side then picked the pace up Slorance and Elder carrying ball forward, the Jed lineout started to function better so backs were using better quality ball. Replacement Gregor Taylor was next to score after 37 minutes of the second half which brought the game to within a single point going into the last 5 minutes, Watsons replacement scrum half Basson kicked a penalty after 2 minutes of injury time, Jed threw everything into attack for the remaining minutes of injury time pressurising the Watsons line, scrum half Goodfellow was judged to have been held up over the line which gave the referee the opertunity to blow for full time. Final score 25-29 to Watsonians.

Jed gained 2 much needed bonus points with a much improved performance.
